Kathleen Dingenen is Head of Market Strategy and Public Affairs at GIGA Storage, where she focuses on the commercial, regulatory and strategic development of utility-scale battery storage in the Benelux and Europe. She has worked in European power markets since 2009 and also brings experience in energy technology, business development and commercial strategy. She previously held senior roles at Battolyser Systems and EnAppSys, and before that developed balancing and energy-market services at PVNED. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of markets, technology and implementation, with a focus on how flexibility can be integrated into the energy system. She believes that flexibility should be rewarded for the real value it brings to the system, and that well-designed markets and tariffs are key to the energy transition. She is driven by the ambition to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable, decarbonised, affordable and resilient energy system.
